Easter eggs from Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch in Marvel's Avengers
Earlier this week, the latest extension of Marvel's Avengers is released. War for Wakanda introduces several characters in the game that MCU fans know well, such as Black Panther, Shrui, Okoye and Klaue Ulysses. There are other characters mentioned that you may have missed.
There are several Easter eggs that refer to other Marvel characters in the Universe, confirming their existence, although we may never meet them in the game. To hear these Easter eggs, you have to find Zawavari, The spiritual elder of Wakanda. It has a room in front of the equipment seller at the lower level of the Birnin Zana outpost.
During some missions in the DLC, Zawavari is able to communicate by telepathy with the Avengers. When you approach it between the missions, you can hear about several characters, such as Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Loki and Wong.
Most characters are not designated by their superhero alias, but you can understand it. Zawavari speaks to a doctor in New York, where Dr. Strange resides. He also speaks to Wanda and asks if his brother (Quicksilver) knows that she is looking for her advice. He mentions Wong by his name and also refers to the Old.
The most difficult to decipher is when he speaks in Lie-Smith, who is an alias of Loki. Players may remember that Loki appeared in the game as Thor's impressor in his chain of missions, so there is hope that we will see him again, in his most recognizable form next time.
Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange have been suggested as DLC characters planned by the first data mining companies, but rumors have circulated that many characters would be deleted due to the bad performance of Marvel's Avengers sales. Marvel's Avengers is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Stadia.
