Star Wars: Battlefront 2
Four years is the publication of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 now. Despite initial controversy for questionable integration of Loot boxes and microtransactions, DICEs multiplayer shooter has developed over the years to a popular and successful Star Wars experience. Now that the Swedish developers have delivered Battlefield 2042, many fans hoped that the team would now devote himself to a new part of the Battlefront series. But a Battlefront 3 will not seem like it. This is at least from statements of the often very well-informed Battlefield insiders Tom Henderson.
This writes on Twitter that Dice has presented a concept for Battlefront 3 compared to Publisher Electronic Arts, but this was finally rejected. One of the reasons was also license costs. It was rejected because it requires 20 percent more sales to earn the same money, a former DICE staff is quoted by Tom Henderson. The insider also turns out that now some important developers of the Battlefront team, including Creative Director Dennis Rainfall, have left the company. These also speak against an early continuation of the shooter.
The future for Star Wars fans is not completely gloomy. For example, Henderson adds that EA currently not yet well-known Star-Wars games are in development. But it is more about the Story-driven single-player title and no multiplayer game. At least as an open mystery, one of these titles probably a continuation of Star Wars is: Jedi falls Order is. However, there is no confirmation from Electronic Arts to all this. By the way, DICE, according to Henderson, actually work on a new Battlefield.
