Halo Infinite reveals the release date of season 2

343 Industries has formally announced when season 2 will start from infinite halo multiplayer mode. When the multiplayer part of Halo Infinite was launched for the first time in November 2021, 343 said at that time that the opening season of the game would last more than normal, specifically for a period of six months. As such, fanatics have known for quite some time that they expect season 2 to start at some May 2022, but a specific date has not yet been disclosed beyond this window. That is, until now.

Advertised as part of an extensive new blog on the Halo website, 343 Industries revealed that season 2 of Infinite multiplayer mode will officially start on Tuesday, May 3. Season 2 will be called "solitary wolves" and 343 says that their approach for this season will focus on cosmetics for Spartans who are considered lonely.

Although several Halo infinite fanatics are surely delighted that season 2 now has an official launch date, this new update of 343 also brought bad news. Specifically, the cooperative functionality of the campaign, which previously planned to launch together with season 2, will no longer be implemented on this same date on May 3. Instead, 343 says it still plans to launch a cooperative campaign at some point during season 2, but it still does not have a specific launch date in mind.
