Activision Blizzard again on a candlestick! Employees want to release the main president!
About Activision Blizzard has lately? Whatever again, it was only a silence before the storm! Some time ago I wrote to you that the head of Blizzard, Jen Oneal, gave up his position. After 3 months she decided she did not want to perform the president s role with Mike Ibarra with whom she shared this position.
In his farewell he wrote that he leaves a company in good hands and everything is on the right road to positive changes. According to the Wall Street Journal in his report, he is quite vice versa. It turns out that Jen Oneal experienced molesting at work, and was also worse than Mike Ibarra, and they took the same position.
Jen Oneal herself said that eventually she left the company, because it does not promise to change anything in her. She experienced marginalization and prejudice, and was discriminated against her gender.
What s more, that said report shows that Bobby Kick, CEO (head of all bosses) Activision Blizzard knew well about the situation in the company. Employees reported him attention, they paid attention to problems and some people who allow a terrible thing. Bobby Kick, however, decided to do nothing about it — did not even inform the board about the situation.
The Wall Street Journal also claims that Bobby Kick threatened his assistant that he will kill her. As if this was not enough, some employees associated with California lawsuit or other harassment, they still worked in the Range of Activision Blizzard. One of them is Dan Bunting, who was released only lately when the whole thing came to light.
Other people were moved to new departments or now only the company gives them notice. Although some of them were accused of shameful things in 2017. Here, however, it should be noted that the accusation does not mean fault immediately, so the behavior of Activision Blizzard can be partially understood. Provided, of course, that there were no factual evidence for harassment — it should be remembered that it is easily in the end to throw accusations, thus destroying someone s life.
After the publication of this report, Bobby Kick referred to the situation, noticing that the information contained in it is inaccurate and mislead. He believes alone, however, that Activision Blizzard is now on the right road to a better future, which will help them zero tolerance policy for activities from the past.
After all, some of Activision Blizzard employees (there were only over 150) left the streets by striking and demanding the release of Bobbie Kick from the position. What will happen? Time will tell.
